Gus Schmidt.
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Boston College interested in arithmetic geometry. My advisor is Keerthi Madapusi.
Previously, I was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, where I graduated with a B.A. in mathematics with departmental honors. I enjoy teaching, and after I completed my undergraduate, I spent a year teaching high school algebra at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, California. Since then, I’ve taught various classes for Art of Problem Solving and the AwesomeMath Summer Program. I also received my M.S. in mathematics from Brandeis University in 2023.
